I'm really starting to think so. As Justin's girlfriend, I'm clearly biased, but it kills me to see how affected he is by a few jerky members. Somehow, people get it into their minds that signing up for a free blog entitles you to treat the staff like crap. All these posts out there rallying the "disgruntled masses" (or immature attention-whores, whichever) are just terrible. They try to turn the Xanga staffers into this evil entity that works solely to upset its dear, dear members. After all, if your ideas aren't immediately implemented, then it must be because the staff sucks, and not your idea. It must be hard when you devote a lot of time and effort to spec out a proposal that isn't appreciated at all, right? If only others knew how you feel!
Seriously though, Justin devotes so much of himself to his job that he's actually hurt when he's so disrespected. You aren't the ones who have to attempt to cheer him up; to console him when the users he does this work for treat him with such utter disrespect. They aren't even treated as humans with real feelings. How can you be so hypocritical as to continuously defend the "community", asserting its rights when you can't even treat the leaders of that community in the same way. Because the fact is, what really makes Xanga so different isn't just the bloggers- it's the (very) small group of employees that devote an enormous amount of time and energy to keep this site running. You don't even appreciate the access you have to the team- it's a rare thing. Instead, you use it be needlessly antagonistic. You make the team members question why they do this at all. And it leaves me to pick up the pieces at the end of the day. Thanks, thanks a lot. I really appreciate the pain you're causing the man I love.
If all this isn't clear, I guess what I really want to say is ....
JUST BACK THE FUCK OFF!
